The history of the single sheet feeder
For a long time there were no sheet feeders for braille embossing on cut sheet paper. When our customers showed us the demand we started considering the possibilities. One solution was using an ink printer sheet feeder. We contacted a leading sheet feeder-producer, and were asked “How many k:s do you want?” We weren't asking for thousands at the time, but less than a hundred. With a little enthusiasm and some good will we were allowed to buy the small volume.
Today we own the producing right for those sheet feeders. We have refined them for braille perfection. Index Braille is the only company in the world to offer sheet feeders for braille embossing on cut sheet paper.
More than one
Customers with large production often buy several 4X4 PRO embossers. We recommend:
Less than 50 000 pages/year = 1 embosser
50 - 150 000 pages/year = 2 embossers
150 - 400 000 pages/year = 3 embossers
