All Index Braille V3 embossers has full local area network support.

Give permanent IP-address

This section describes how you give your Index V3 embosser a permanent IP-address. Index recommends the use of static IP address because it is the best way to connect a braille embosser. Index Embosser: Firmware 12.02 and higher Server: MS Windows 2000 server Client: MS XP or Vista

Create network port

To be able to install your embosser to a network, you must create a network port. This step describes how to create a network printer port in Windows and connect it to the IP address of your Index V3 embosser. Index Embosser: Firmware 12.02 and higher Server: MS Windows 2000 server Client: MS XP or Vista

Install Index printer driver

Printer drivers are necessary for embossing. This step installs the Index Printer Driver and connects it to your Standard TCP/IP. Index Embosser: Firmware 12.02 and higher Server: MS Windows 2000 server Client: MS XP or Vista

Browse for Index printer on your client

Find Index network embosser on your client computer. Index Embosser: Firmware 12.02 and higher Server: MS Windows 2000 server Client: MS XP or Vista

Emboss from WinBraille 5 to network

After installation of WinBraille 5 on your client you are ready to emboss. Index Embosser: Firmware 12.02 and higher Server: MS Windows 2000 server Client: MS XP or Vista

Change from USB to network

This section explains the easiest way to connect your embosser to a network if you have already installed the embosser to your computer via the USB-port.
