4Waves service training

Service training is held at Index Braille when there are minimum five participants. It is intended for distributors or 4Waves PRO.

  • Maximum number of participators is eight.
  • Service training fee is 1000 EUR, including documentation and hotel.
  • The training is managed by Mr Krister Essberg, Service Manager at Index Braille.

The programme of these 2-days training session is as follows:

Day 1

Basic training in handling and setting up the embossers. An overview in support software. Including:

  • Presentation of 4Waves PRO
  • Company presentation
  • Design principal
  • Installation of 4Waves PRO
  • Setup from front panel
  • Paper loading
  • Changing paper length and width
  • How to find 4Waves documentation etc
  • Replace 4Waves PRO embossing module
  • Run 4Waves with three modules
  • Market feedback and know problems
  • Network installation compared with Basic/Everest/4X4
  • Embosser WEB interface

Day 2

Workshop:

  • Internal Router configuration
  • Monitoring embossing module with Hyperterminal
  • Step, by step fault detecting
  • Firmware upgrade, all modules
  • How to handle different firmware versions
  • Main board versions
  • Maintaining a 4Waves PRO module, service power module
  • Replacement of embossing head
  • Replacement of main board
  • Embosser setup using Embosser Utility
  • Printer driver installation
  • WinBraille installation
  • Vertical alignment adjustment
  • Service training feedback
