BrailleBox at Paralympics Games in Brazil

In conjunction with the Paralympic Games starting in September, the Swedish Minister for Children, the Elderly and Gender Equality and the Swedish Minister, Ms. Åsa Regnér will travel to Brazil for the Paralympic Games along with a small delegation consisting of public officers, academics, researchers and business men. 

Business Sweden will be holding a seminar, "The Power of Integration via Accessibility and Sports," which will take place on September 8th at Bibliotec Parque, in Rio de Janeiro. The seminar will be part of the Library's International Week of Accessibility and Culture. Reflecting Sweden's commitment to assist and integrate persons living with a disability, granting access and dignity to these individuals  and allowing them to live as autonomously as possible. 

The experience will be shared with Brazilian stakeholders in order to discuss how Swedish solutions improve the quality of life for these people and can be applied in Brazil. Representing Index Braille will be Index distributor for Brazil, Mr. Guilherme Lira from Tecassistiva

The event aims to attract a series of relevant high-level speakers and key decision makers from the sector. It will be concluded with the opening of two exhibitions:
  • a photo exhibition portraying individuals living with disabilities that overcome barriers and live an integrated life
  • a design exhibition which will showcase technological innovations that help people to have a more dignified life; such as the Index BrailleBox representing the blind and visually impaired solutions available.
