Finally, a production braille embosser that prints hassle-free braille books, connects to wifi, allows you to print from portable devices, and on top of it, is more affordable than competitor offers. (Check out our competitor comparison for details).

All in one user interface

With our users at the center of our development process, we have managed to successfully bridge the hardware and software design to a truly user friendly experience.

The V5 control panel is a local user interface in which allows the user to:
  • interact with the braille embosser settings
  • emboss documents (from embosser or USB memory)
  • feed paper
  • receive embosser information
  • open and close the new automated braille tray door
  • restore previous settings
  • set distributor (region) specific default settings
The control panel gives the user complete embosser control and is addressed with speech feedback, from Acapela Group, which is available in many different languages.

Braille on cut-sheet paper

This sheet fed production braille embosser continues to lead braille on cut-sheet paper into the future alongside modern day ink printers.

Braille on cut-sheet paper offers:
  • reduced braille book production time (compared to traditional tractor fed methods) - Read more about embossing hassle-free braille books
  • the usage of heavy office paper - this is more readily available; found in local supply stores and available at a fraction of the price compared to special braille paper.
    • [120-180 g/m(ca 80-120 lbs) - heavy paper is recommended so that the braille dots keep their shape on the paper.

The BrailleBox V5 sheet feeder uses fixed paper sizes. For ideal braille production with BrailleBox V5, use booklet format with A3 or 11"x17" paper sizes. B4 and 11.5"x11" are also support paper sizes for production braille embossing with BrailleBox.
