How to start a Team Viewer session-X

Team Viewer is a proprietary computer software package for remote control, desktop sharing, online meetings, web conferencing and file transfer between computers. The software operates with Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS, and Android operating systems. It is possible to access a machine running Team Viewer with a standard web browser.

If Index will be running a TeamViewer session while you are away from your computer, please ensure the following:

  • Index embosser is powered on and connected to the computer via service cable

The service cable is shipped with all Braille Boxes, for Basic-D or Everest-D you may order from Index or purchase at a local supplier. An image of the device is as follows:

Note: if your computer does not have RS232 port (also known as a COM port or serial port) you may connect the service cable via USB to RS232 converter. Below is an example of how such a converter may look.
