Combating low employment of blind and partially sighted people

Celebrated on 3 December, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities celebrates their full and equal inclusion in community.

There are some barriers that prevent blind people from being employed, including the lack of legislation for preventing discrimination against people with disabilities at workplace.

In order to combat these barriers, the World Blind Union (WBU) has Project Aspiro, an employment website to provide skills and resources for blind and partially sighted people to help finding employment.
